From Combat to Connection - A Retreat for Women Veterans - 2009

Details: During this four-day retreat we will focus on healing, connecting & finding our strengths.
Connect with other women veterans by sharing stories, experiences and community; learn stress management techniques; exercise your creative side; and enjoy a beautiful setting through hiking & kayaking in scenic Marshal, California.
Who is eligible? All women who served in military since September 11th, 2001
What does the retreat cost? This program is completely free. There is no cost for lodging, meals, workshops or air travel.
Applications will begin accepting applications on August 10th

President Barack Obama has proposed increasing spending on highway, transportation and other infrastructure projects, as well as increasing tax breaks for small businesses and offering tax incentives to people who make their homes more energy-efficient. In his speech Tuesday morning at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, Obama also said that small business, infrastructure and clean energy are areas in which Americans can be put to work while putting the nation on a sturdier economic footing.
