Veterans Green Jobs is creating training programs to harness the aptitudes that veterans already possess

Dear Members,

America is facing immense challenges economically, environmentally and defensively. Jobs are becoming harder to find, climate change threatens our living conditions, and we are becoming more dependent on foreign oil. It is time for a movement into the future that we have all sacrificed for, a future that lives up to the American potential we sought for.

Veterans have gained leadership experience, the ability to succeed under immense pressure, a work ethic that stays until the jobs done, and a willingness to serve our fellow countrymen and those in need. These values and skills are necessary in the coming years to help lead America. Veterans Green Jobs is creating training programs to harness the aptitudes that veterans already possess and add green trade skills and small business knowledge, to hone our returning service members into a need green workforce. We are offering courses in multiple fields from home energy efficiency auditing, environmental conservation, green construction, renewable energy installation, alternative fuel production and more.


These courses will be grounded in a on the job training program that will give veterans the work experience and hands on opportunities that will earn them an income while they learn. Veterans Green Jobs is connecting these courses through colleges that will allow trainees to gain college credits. Through these courses veterans will gain national certification, college credits and income while training along side other veterans and sharing a positive transformative experience.
